Hi I know its not a bike question but I also know many on the forum have lathes. I have a Myford ML7 lathe and I have the option of buying a milling attachment for it. Has anyone used these milling attachments and are they worth while or better off getting a small milling machine. I wont be doing very much milling so I thought this milllng attachment would be the way to go.
thanks
I bought my ML7 in 1958, and it was the best investment in a tool I ever did. Very versatile, I even rifled a pistol barrel on it....
Not too heavy milling is easy, and that milling attachment is well worth the investment.
Parts are still available, and the bed can still be serviced, not bad for a 70+ machine
The only drawback is the headstock spindle: only 14mm, not enough to chamber a rifle barrel
