Hi all,

I have a black/weathered 8" blackout mask that I would like to retore for my 1940 M20.

Does any one know if the blackout mask would of been Matt or gloss black, back in its hay day ?

I have noted that the MT110 early rear tail lights seem to be a shiny black gloss. I wonder if the blackout masks mached the tail lamps

Hello Mark,

The ones I have seen were matt black, some very matte, some eggshell.

The Lucas MT110's were usually black from the factory, but were painted the same colour as the bike before fitment, at least with Nortons, have several NOS ones, even one in RAF blue.
