It is about time I replaced my exhaust valve guide and exhaust valve.

Not done it before on the M20. Anything I need to be careful of?

The exhaust guide is counter bored to a larger diameter at one end...That should be at the upper end when fitted...

Press the guide in until a measurement of 15/16" from the cylinder head gasket face to the upper end of the guide is achieved...

Finish the guide to size after fitting to give a .004"-.0045" stem to guide clearance...

Recut and lap in the seat after the guide is fitted to produce a seat width of not less than .125" (1/8")...Ian
