Let this be an abject lesson to anyone remotely thinking of restoring a bike that has spent time in that part of the world. Those Enfields must have good quality castings though as I didn't see any fins fly off !

I can't see anything wrong with that Laying the parts in the dirt helps to bed in the bearings...!! Rik was right though, no broken fins etc, I don't know many engines you could treat like that and get away with it.
