I recently decided to "air" the workshop so took a few bikes outside........although the 1943 Royal Enfield WD/RE Flying Flea is still a tad unfinished in restoration, the 1943 James ML is completed...........
It's interesting to see both types side-by-side............
Shown up-close is the ML's top-left fork-link that was NOS and left unpainted......compare this with the colour of the rest of the bike and I think I got the match pretty close.........
The Flea is also SCC No.2 brown but a slightly lighter shade than the ML.......no doubt wartime variations in colour and shade crept in between manufacturers and batches.........both were matched from original colour samples remaining on both machines........
Chris, yes received mate ! Sorry, but only just got back from a few days away where I don't use any internet !!! I will be looking this week...........to see if I have any available and spare.......
