A garden full of "Fleas"....

I recently decided to "air" the workshop so took a few bikes outside........although the 1943 Royal Enfield WD/RE Flying Flea is still a tad unfinished in restoration, the 1943 James ML is completed...........

It's interesting to see both types side-by-side............

Shown up-close is the ML's top-left fork-link that was NOS and left unpainted......compare this with the colour of the rest of the bike and I think I got the match pretty close.........

The Flea is also SCC No.2 brown but a slightly lighter shade than the ML.......no doubt wartime variations in colour and shade crept in between manufacturers and batches.........both were matched from original colour samples remaining on both machines........
