Flying Flea Rubber Suspension bands, the thin top one (repro manufacturing)
Here a post from Dave on the HMVF Forum, let him know please what interest there is for these! Cheers, Lex
Flying Flea Rubber Suspension bands
I've been in discussion with a manufacturer that can make the "Not Available" centre (long) suspension band for the Flying Flea .
Hitchcock Motorcycles claim they are the same size as the small band and just need the width narrowing ...........they are not . The photo I have attached is of both small and long suspension band , the long one is an original very kindly loaned to me for comparison , as you can see there is a difference , the difference is 18mm .
The manufacturer can make these too the exact spec as the original ,the drawback is I have to order a minimum of 50 .
I have had some definites of people wanting these and was hoping to gauge the interest with some more definites before I go ahead with getting these made as the cost to me is £475.00 inc vat which equates to £9.50 each , all I'm trying to do is cover the cost and provide the correct band for all the Flea owners so I'll sell these for what it costs me.
Hopefully there will be enough interest . If anyone is interested please pm me, or post here with the amount you want so I can decide whether to go ahead with it or not .
Thanks
Dave

Thanks for the responses. If possable could you all send me the amounts you require by e mail with the heading Flea bands, I can then create a file and contact you all when I have the bands .The manufacturer has quoted 3/4 weeks from placement of order .

Well add me for two as well Dave, even though I have a NOS original fitted........
Now, will somebody look at other scarcer Flea parts for manufacture ?
Miller tail-lights (will fit on a Lucas base with light mods) and also fit WD Velo's and a few G3L's........
Miller 4-position WD light switch tops (CH H T P), the lower part of the switch, the knob, and central rotor being largely interchangeable with other Miller switches with light mods........again, fitted to Velo's and a few G3L's.......

Well Ian I think Arnaud will have to respond himself. Although deep in rural France he often loses internet connection for periods. I don't think he will mind me saying that he is a professional mould maker but these parts are mostly a hobby and based often on parts he needs for himself or friends...... with extras. He is also mainly a Royal Enfield guy.

Yes Ron, i'm in a rural area of France, but sometimes i'm also a "daddy" and no time for motorcycles... yes i make parts for me, but when the mold is ok why not making some more to help some others, not a commercial affair, don't want make business, just help, it's my own see of collecting world. but some parts are only for me or "of forum"for friends... seriously , i make all bakelite parts who are hard to find or cost an arm.
and special for Steve, many thanks to you Steve, 12 years ago in my rural France, you're the only british name on a book who help us without the existence of internet.
and very special thanks to all the persons who loan rare parts and informations to me..
contact of forum if someone need something please...maybe i could help sorry almost part are Royal Enfield or standard....
