Have gotten around to reairing the gearbox which had a completely worn out 3rd/4th gear dog clutch.
However now re-assembled when first gear is engaged that dog clutch just catches over the teeth of the 4th gear.
I am not sure where to make my adjsutment, should I try and get the fourth gear teeth further back or try to get the gear control shaft closer to the gearbox face? 3rd gear doesnt engage as much as I would like it to, so the gear control shaft would seem the ideal part to adjust as it would mean it engages 3rd gear closer. Or would moving the mainshaft so out the back of the gearbox further have the same effect.
Just wondering what the ideal way of making this adjustment would be and you you would go about it.
Have trawled the forum, manual and the tech section but no luck.
