Listen guys, it's clear we are entering the days of electric cars. Motorcycles will soon follow i suppose.
Can you imagine a motorcycle gang on the motorway; completely silent !
Our noisy bikes will be a thing of the past.
End of romance.
Not in my lifetime fortunately...though we've probably had the best of it...
Sadly, the idea of a good time on the 'open' road is disappearing fast in Britain...
Congestion, speed cameras, average speed cameras, mobile speed cameras, ANPR cameras et all have put paid to that....
Along with Police wanting to stop you for a chat about safety awareness and wearing dayglo...and I've probably done more miles on a motorcycle than most of them...
Fortunately I still have a few bits of favourite road which are not too blighted by these annoying, and largely unnecessary, intrusions into my life...Ian
Our bikes are already a thing of the part. Quite possibly the newest WD bike is 69 -70 years old. It's men like us who keep them alive and others enjoy them just by seeing them.
