That's going to be a nice special. I have no idea of the crankcases, but looks to be a camshaft for each cylinder.Guessing cylinders could be American. Headstock and down tube look BSA as is the front brake plate. Chainguard looks like Matchless or AJS. Would like to see it when finished.

Modified Buell crankcases with the oiling altered and the gearbox and other bits removed...Buell cylinders...Modified B33 heads with the rear one 'reversed'. The rocker boxes were removed and an earlier pattern 'open valve arrangement' made and fitted..
Modified M20 frame and modified M20 forks...I/2 width 8" BSA front hub...M20 rear hub (I think) but may be rigid B31/33) I can't remember which gearbox he used, but will find out again.
Hand gearchange fitted, Home produced 'flat' tank, oil tank etc. etc. etc..and yes, it looks like a Matchy chainguard!..
The idea was to make a bike that ultimately will look like a factory racer from the very late 20's/very early 30's but for road use...
To my eye it looks the part...I'll see if I can get some more up to date photos...Ian
The carb is standard pre-monoblock Amal, not BSA-specific. Looks like a Sturmey-Archer gearbox with a replacement plate. Much more interesting is the exhaust rocker link. Any explanation of it or better photos?
