OK. I've got to ask, is that side car extolling the virtues of running your motor bicycle on coal gas? Not sure that it would take off here in Australia due to the currant debate on our coal consumption and export to 30 odd countries.

Its a brilliant picture, but I have always fancied owning a zeppelin. I guess there are some potential dangers, visibility has been reduced and he would have to be careful if he decided to smoke a woodbine on the move. Rob

I know that in WW2 some domestic vehicles were run on coal gas but this looks a bit early, maybe WW1?

Is that a Matchless tank on that stall and what is/was the price tag?
I can read it in the original photo, it's 150 pounds. The stall-holder is Ron Pier. Henk
cheers, yes I recognised Ron, seems he's being coy today. tank sold no doubt
That looks like Netley Marsh this year, we had a great weekend. Ron was selling off all the "crap" he didn't want and it was going like hot cakes.

I shared a seat chatting with Ron, Horror and others at this year's Netley............a most enjoyable time and catch-up........
It's a bit difficult to see from the photo if the sun has already passed over the yard-arm. Judging by Ron's smile, it could well have done !
I can't actually remember Ron standing-up at Netley come to think of it......... Sort of "half-man, half-chair"..........
