Has anyone seen the eBay listing 201201383856 for a 1943 'project' bike which has reared its head again, it was part of that group imported from Egypt on eBay previously for around £10k, if my memory serves me correctly, which it may not due to my age!
That money pit looks remarkably similar to my project BSA.
The thing is, Henk, projects on eBay can catch out the innocent and unwary. You are a habitual offender who knows exactly what he's doing and I have no sympathy whatsoever.
There are those amongst us for whom "not needing anything" at a jumble is a fate worse than death !
Noam it's left over from the pre war civilian bikes when a little more style/luxury/protection was desirable. War economies and utilitarian issues soon put paid to these and lots of other nice features. Ron
There are some very good copies made in Australia that have been shown on the forum previously...Postage might be expensive to the Northern Hemisphere though...
Could one of our Aussie contributors post those details again?....Ian
