Just a word of advice should you have the same issue. I had the need to re-proof my DR coat after it was obvious there were leaks on some areas and seams. Having used Fabsil on other items and tents in the past very successfully I went the same route. Having given it a good coating and hung it up, I then found that the petroleum based liquid, or its fumes, melted all the original glue with all the seam tapes and straps etc coming off.

I have successfully fixed the problem but for anyone else thinking of doing something similar – be aware
