I have fitted one of the aluminium headlamp rims to a DU42 shell and just as with the steel originals they require some 'tweaking' to get them to fit...(I've just been through the same procedure with an original NOS rim)..

If anyone who has ordered one is but not entirely happy with that fact please contact me and I will cancel your order...For the two people who have already paid me I will obviously refund any monies paid..

For those familiar with the DU42 rims I'm sure you will be aware of what I am describing from previous experience. They will fit OK but it requires a little fettling to get a fit...

Headlamp rims are one of those components which seem to have been designed to ruin my new paintwork.

I have often found that you need to slacken the two headlamp securing bolts before attempting to fit the rim, as they can sometime distort the headlamp bowl enough to make fitting the rim difficult.

Ian if you end up with one over....I'll buy it.
