Hi Frank...I always make up my own loom as I go along when rewiring the bike...
Looms that are bought rarely, if ever, fit correctly.
Firstly, if you are talking WDM20 there are two possible positions for the horn depending on the year of manufacture.
Also there is the question of where you want the main earthing point to be located. Personally I use the main frame bolt under the saddle but this is not the standard position.
If the loom is made to a 'standard' specification it won't include dipswitch or brake light wiring, both of which are requirements for road use in the UK today...
The battery terminals are also likely to be the wrong type if you use a gel battery and if you have an electronic regulator fitted there won't be the required fuse holder fitted either...
When you think about this and all the other possible dimensional and specification faults, these looms aren't really worth considering...Ian
Ian.. I will contact a fellow member of the BSAOC (with loom manufacturing knowledge) with a view to making up my own.. It seems this is the way to go.. Cheers..
Will post some pictures later, wire is same as sold on ebay, and mentioned here before, also includes rubber sheath, and coloured heat shrink markers, in the original colours, wiring diagrams, and some simple instructions.
