Went for a day out at East Kirkby over the weekend, and saw these two beautifully restored matchless bikes. They had both just done a 40 mile road run round the wolds.
I don't know what went wrong this year, I normally attend and enjoy this event and I never saw it advertised either, Bugger, I went to Amberly transport museum instaed on the Golden Flash, but would have much sooner gone to East Kirkby on the Matchless G9. I think that is a great venue with a lot of interesting stuff there. looking at your photo, I take it the Lancaster was out on its taxi run.
It was a good day out, taxi runs were impressive as always, enjoyed the spitfire fly past. The really good part was the model flying display, really good things like Lancasters and Dakotas, but most impressive were a Boeing 737 and a 2/3 rd scale First World War bi plane, it had about a 10 foot wing span and flew amazingly.
it is always the same keep my eyes out and write down forth coming advents but always hear of one that went on last weekend and they are usually the good ones
