Contact imformation

Jeffrey Wilson who makes the Pyrene and BSA Parabike water slide transfers has come into the 21st century by allowing his wife to own a computer. Re: Contact imformation

Ron, what are the differences between standard WD grips and Welbike ones?

Re: Contact imformation

Dave as far as I can tell, the Welbike has standard 7/8" canvas grips. The grips I referred to in my original post here are for the BSA Parabike. Ron

Re: Contact imformation

Hi Ron, would you know if the grips on the para bike are the same as the grips on a WD/BSA "roadster".

Re: Contact imformation

Mick I imagine they are the same. You could ring Jeffrey and ask him. I just took this picture of my repro grips with piled arms.....But I do have a real BSA saddle. Ron

Re: Contact imformation

Ron and Michael, In fact they are not the same, the folding bicycle has celluloid grips, and the MK V and MK V* have "Grips Handlebar, Rubber" Part Number 10218.

The postwar parts list also mentions "Rubber"

But you might aswell do with only one!!!

Re: Contact imformation

That's nice to know that the Parabike has celluloid grips. These repro resin grips do look the same. I wonder if Jeff Hunter makes the rubber ones?

Re: Contact imformation

Yes, they are celluloid over cardboard originally, and break easily!

Here a picture of a postwar MK V rubber grip, will see if I can find more info.

Do note that on this website, this particular bike is a postwar one!

Re: Contact imformation

OK, here we go on the grips, first a brownish plastic one, postwar I think?

Then a nice rubber one, make "Britannia" slightly postwar??

And last a rubber one that looks like the WW2 model, no make or anything on it, and quite old!

Cheers,

Lex

Re: Contact imformation

Yes the repro paragrips from Jeff Wilson come with a cardboard insert to make them look even more correct. Ron
