Has anyone else spotted the reproduction M20 front fork link assemblies being touted on ebay? I've sent a question to the Indian seller asking what metal they're made of and how they were manufactured , just out of curiosity . Judging by the photos they've been die - cast out of low grade aluminium , perhaps recycled lager cans , but no harm in asking , I suppose .

The shop is Royal Crusaders, they're the people who make the rough hand beaten Commando petrol tanks. If that's anything to go by, I would buy fork links from them.

I got the ebay number wrong , true . I think it pays to keep abreast of what these Indian back street manufacturers are up to , because you never know , one day they might start turning out quality products . As I said , no harm in looking , is there ?

Appearing soon painted green at a jumble near you. .. i can only assume the seller has some kind of vendetta against the vintage motorcycle fraternity.

I actually got a reply from the seller , and I quote :

'This is casted iron , but I must tell you that this is only average quality , so I can offer you 10% discount' .

That's got to be worth risking your life for a 10% discount..!!
