Has anyone got a Matchless G3L speedo bracket that they could send me the dimensions of? No one seems to have one to copy and a lot of people have the T shaped one fitted. The correct one is the triangular plate part number 40-G12M-FF78. I'm getting a bit desperate as I've still a lot to do before Normandy!
Every G3L I've seen has the T shaped one fitted , can anyone please help with pictures or a drawing of one with the measurements and angles, thicknesses etc?
That "tri-angular" shaped plate Dave, is thought to be a drawing of the prototype one fitted to the pre-production experimental G3L's..........never seen one, ever, other than in the parts list (that rarely altered throughout the war I might add, including to continue to show the early fork yokes, rear frame, etc.....).........you are looking for something that wasn't fitted to production machines by all accounts..........
I think we can assume that the "T" - shaped bracket is the correct item......the illustrated G3L parts lists appear to have never updated certain drawings....AMC weren't the only ones either....
