Some question about the crankshaft gasket if there is one... Ian HELP :)
Hello
I have a question is there a gasket or something else between the timing case and the crankshaft. Please look the picture. Or is there nothing and the cranshaft is directly on the timing case.

Hi Mitja...No, there is no gasket or seal of any type there...The tube (quill) just fits into the end of the crankshaft when the cover is fitted....Ian

Definitely...When I was training as an Engineer (many years back ) every engineering drawing I was given had a note in the corner..'If in doubt..ASK'....

Ian, is it not so, with the flywheels rotating, the oil is forced out towards the big end with such a force, that there is no time for any leaks developing around the tube??

To be clear and to avoid any possible confusion, those are unrelated to the crankshaft quill and seal the cam spindle oil feed fitting...As stated there is no seal for the crankshaft oil feed...Ian
