For sale on "trade me " down here there is a sealed cardboard box containing a Lucas tail lamp. The only clue to its type is the code stamped on the label. Can any of VAOS boffins out there decipher the following code ? LV6/MT3. 6220-99-803-3882. Tail light no.2 mk 2 FV381788 LU 53874 Qty 1. Is this a motorcycle tail light? Best to know before i bid! Vendor is unsure what box contains and wont open.

It has a NATO stock number so it's not wartime.

Unfortunately, a quick 'Google' only shows 'Tail Light, Vehicular' so not much help. The LU indicates Lucas rather than vehicle manufacturer specific. I'd guess that it's unlikely to be a wartime motorcycle light.
