Been chasing around a little for this colour on various recommendations.
Tho confirm;
Jeep Parts UK state they do not sell SCC No.2 (service brown)
&
Frank Burbery no longer sell paint !
Hi Richard, I have spent years trying to find a decent SCC No.2, I bought "Service Brown" and "Dark Earth" from Cobbaton and "Dark Camo Brown" from Jeep parts, in the end I blended the 3 different Browns together with a bit of Cobbaton Dark Olive Drab, it looked OK to start with but now I'm half way through painting my M20 I'm not sure I have it right.
However whatever anyone else says I think we should try to get the colour right for the period we are trying to portray.
I got some from R R services 01233 820219. I have a new boxed G3L timing cover in service brown which they matched perfectly. heres' a couple of pics of the paint fitted to the bike-
Cheers, Mick.
I very recently took a NOS James fork link in SCC brown to my local automotive paint supplier......I said I wanted it matched exactly, dead flat matt and a product that I could both brush and spray........
The very next morning it was ready, 2 litres at £12 per ltr, and on testing it's a perfect match...........think this is the way to go in future.....:o)

The SCC No.2 brown they mixed up for me is colour-matched to an original James ML new-old-stock fork link.......and it is perfect........2 litres @ £12 per litre, brush and spray............
['I have enquired after the pain and reply as follows']...
At £27.66 per litre I would say you got the 'pain' you were enquiring about..
....The last lot of synthetic I mixed myself worked out a lot cheaper than that....Ian
