Re: WD type wiring connectors?

Don't buy loads via ebay buy then direct after the first sale.

If this seller has facilities to turn out batch stuff like this there must be loads more items he could be approached to do?

as for ebay how are others getting on with this default automatic bidding lark they have instigated?
I hate it

Re: WD type wiring connectors?

OK Leon, I've asked him to increase my order by five and combine postage. I'll let you know.

does it actually work any different to before?...you put on your max and ebay bids up to that if needed.

I didn't know anything had changed, at least not recently

Re: WD type wiring connectors?

For me it takes all the fun out of it, sizing up the opposition, outbidding at the last moment by 57 pence or whatever has won me many a bargain, Then again maybe I need to get out more and a hobby.

Its yet another way of squeezing more money for ebay, its not as enjoyable as it used to be. Paradoxically while I am not getting the prices I used to, for the same sort of kit I seem to be paying more for what I bid on.

Ebay CEO is on record as saying he wants to get shot of "fleabayers" and go to fixed price selling.

No alternative thats the trouble.

Re: WD type wiring connectors?

I was wondering, except for the tail lamp, where were these used on the harness?

Re: WD type wiring connectors?

Sam, as far as I can think. That is it! Designed so that you could unscrew the connector to drop the mudguard tail piece off when removing the wheel. Ron

Re: WD type wiring connectors?

I think they are originally also used for the battery.

Re: WD type wiring connectors?

The seller of these quotes the battery connection in his listing. But he is talking about Vincent B's and C's. I didn't know about them on WD batteries.

Re: WD type wiring connectors?

My Norton loom had two. One close to the 'A' terminal on the CVC box and another close to battery +ve. The battery one obviously serves to allow battery disconnection and I assume that the other is to allow replacement of the main loom section without disturbing the regulator wiring.

They don't share any components with the connector on the back of the MT110.

Re: WD type wiring connectors?

This is from the maintenance manual that Henk included in his CD of WM20 info a few years ago:

Re: WD type wiring connectors?

Interesting! but cannot find this same info in Matchless or Norton manuals?

My N.O.S. wiring loom never had them either.

So who knows, maybe it was too simple to put in the p/l or manual??

Re: WD type wiring connectors?

What can you find in a Norton manual, Lex ? Piston / bore and valve to guide clearances would be nice !

Re: WD type wiring connectors?

It looks's like you have cleaned the guy out. Says he has sold 50 all to Forum members I bet

Re: WD type wiring connectors?

There won't be any left for the Vincent men !It makes a change from us WD chappies grumbling that our parts are being bought up for Gold Stars, OHC Nortons and Broughs -

There isn't much to see under the perished rubber but this was the connector in line with the battery :-

...and this one on the way to the CVC box :-

Maybe they were deleted, later on to save brass ?
