Skirted rear mudguard on US eBay

I just saw this on eBay, and I think it's from a 1939 WM20. Buy-it-now price of $100 is tempting.

be careful the postage could be expensive i.e. I was watching an item for $18 with $93 postage and there is customs to think about

Roger,

Point well taken. Some of us on this site live in the USA and gnash our teeth over the the postal cost from Europe!

Is it an early WM20 mudguard?

Yes Jeff. Here is one. They don't come up that often so worth $100 if you need one. Ron

Ron,

Thanks. Nice project. I see the Indian cylinder head sneaking into the shot.

It sold for $100. I briefly thought of buying it to resell, but alerted the group here instead.

Did someone here buy it?

I recently got one buckshee with some other parts (but without a tailpiece)...It needs some TLC and I haven't looked at it in detail yet, but I think ultimately it will be useable...I also got one of the early 'wrap around' front engine plate covers...
The valanced mudguards certainly look nice when fitted....Ian

Thanks Darren.

Re: Skirted rear mudguard on US eBay

Regards price,Adam charged me $400.00 each about a year ago. When you consider $400 is about an average days wage here I thought it was more than reasonable.Ive spent days trying to repair guards that are ripped, bent, dented, rusted, holes all over the place and still have'nt been satisfied with the end result.Regards Sam.
