I'm staying 30 minutes North of Reims at the mo and having read a little on the Battle of the Bulge and watched Band of Brothers, I thought lunch at Bastogne would be an opportunity not to miss. Plus, dragging the family around the woods in search of WW2 foxholes made me realise that Normandy 2014, for me, will have to be family-free to preserve everyone's sanity!
Ps. please excuse the basic error of my reflection in the 101st Airborne Memorial.

I'm also hoping to visit Reims for it's WW2 history. I didn't realise that in WW1, only 60 houses were left standing out of some 14,000!
