Off Topic Triumph T110

Anyone know why my clutch is rubbing on the outer clutch chain case cover.

It seems to me that the inner cover is not too secure to the crank cases. The only securing places are the longer bolts that go through both inner and outer cover to the crank cases and the big long bolt that goes right through to the other side of the bike.

Re: Off Topic Triumph T110

The Triumphs that I have worked on (Pre and war time) are just as you describe.
The front three bolts are long to go right through both cases. The main stabilisation is that long foot peg bar.....But you must have the correct spacer behind the chain case. The inner chain case is also bolted to the battery carrier with two spacers which doesn't help a great deal, but should indicate a problem if it's not perpendicular. The only other way your clutch can hit the outer cover is if the central nut is undone and the clutch is coming off the shaft, but I guess you would be getting other problems if that was the issue.
