I'm glose to finishing my 1941 WD G3L and need help with the proper assembly of the rear hub. Pictures would be appreciated as the drawings are sometimes too hard (small) to read.
Ah! The stupid back to front idea adopted by Matchless for the Timkin bearings!
I can only apologize for the inadequacies of some of our countries manufacturers

When you put together do not over grease or you will have no back brake .Try making something to tighten the threaded 11915 adjusting ring .Tighten up then back of till their is a slight movement. Then you can put on the locking collar Dont forget the speedo drive and brake cover plate .Mine has been on over ten years and i have never had to touch it .
I have two rigid frame Matchless, never needed to replace a rear wheel bearing on either.
the secret is never to overtighten them, and leave off the pressure washer.
I will see if I can find enough bits to make a photo of assembly order, but it'll be the weekend.
