I've been given a '43 BD jacket (sadly too small for me), with no signs of any badges or insignia having been attached, however, in the pocket I found these two badges - any idea what they are please?

Pulled this off the web:

The emblem of the Operation Crusader of the British 8th Army consisted of a white shield with a yellow latin cross.

The commander of the British Eighth Army, Field-Marshal Montgomery, flew this insignia on his car when they won the battle of El Alamein.

In 1942 the British occupied Cyrenaica and administered it until 1951

Well done that man! Thanks for the information , which ties in quite nicely, because the chap's grandaughter (who gave the jacket to me), thought he'd been in North Africa for most of WW2.
