"This will fit on 2.5" filler necks"

Not gas tank cap, (At least for M20) as headline states:
"British motorcycle gas tank caps lids BSA...."
But there are still good things to be found sometimes.
I found this speedo last week in an antiquities shop for 12 Pounds…
Not running yet, I guess it needs some cleaning, but well worth the money..
The fact thet it is in Km/h is actually better for me,but is the 85Mp/h equivalent.
The clue is in the 'NC' suffix to the LV7 code. It is indeed a Norton part. 3577 is the fuel tank cap on the Norton. BSAs (and their owners, I believe) are known for having larger orifices
I might consider the price for an NOS pre/early war dull chromed example but certainly not for a late cadmium example where everything has been dulled off by the cosmolene.
The box does look exactly right but he's asking too much if he wants to sell them, bearing in mind that they will need re-finishing for use on a rebuild.
hi,i mailed the seller to see if he had any 3" caps,he sent a nice apologetic reply, that they checked their stock and unfortunately had non left.
