One of the 7 bolts that connect the rocker box to the cylinder head on my mates G3l has stripped its thread and cannot be tightened. Anybody else had this problem ? Is a helicoil kit ( http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121065825192?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 ) the correct way ahead ? Thanks Graeme
Yes, helicoil kits are the way forward on thin gasket faces, if it were a bigger area on the head the best one to use would be a proper insert made by Wurth, however they don't make these in inperial sizes
