Can anyone tell me if there was only one type of lucas cz27 rim. Most of the WWII period has a brass rim. I bought lucas cz27 with chrome rim.

I think 27 is the model number. CZ means 'Centre Zero'. As far as I can tell all had brass bezels with civy (pre war) units bright chromed and war time units in dull chrome. The chrome was just flashed on and hence it's easy to rub the plating off for a brass finish. Ron
