Does anyone replace the timimg cover seals on their M20's as mine do seem to be perished and very hard, was wondering if they are a must for replacement and are there any tips to remove the old seals for new replacements without damaging the cover?

I bought my replacements from russell motors as mine were in poor condition also

I just popped mine out with a screwdriver & pressed the new ones

No problems to date !

Real easy fix but very satisfying once I fitted the timing cover with the new seals, what a difference, may increase the internal oil pressure a bit now.
