hi,found this novel little bike, would make most kids very happy.though the buyer
will not be very happy when he finds out what it really is.
on closer inspection it is a raleigh wisp wich has been altered slightly and a small sidecar added .there is interest to the tune of £5500.00 at this time
who knows where it will stop
have a look ebay 300828128428
cheers rick ,merry christmas
When this was first listed it was titled as a specially commisioned 1920s childrens bike by BSA. I mailed the seller to say definatley not a BSA made machine but homemade from a 1960,s raleigh moped, hence the revisions to this listing. It is obvious that the seller is not telling buyers what he has been told by others.I received no reply to my mail Dave
It's definitely there with that ebay number 300832329590
I e-mailed the seller when this post went up
ME:
"This is a raleigh wisp moped from the late 60's that someone has made to look like a vintage bike. I doubt you'll tell the unsuspecting bidders as the price is going mad, but someone is going to be very annoyed when they find out what they've bought :-)"
HIM:
"I have not stated what it is I have left it to the bidders I am not a bike dealer at all. And have stated not working no papers and needs work. I did have a mail saying 3 of these were made for a film and are very rare the film was in the sixtys about 3 boys on an adventure in it was also some famous pop stars of the day one bike was red one blue and one green. He said the blue one sold for mad money because of the film (30,000) I didn't believe him. But who knows what people want. Many thanks simon
ME:
"Maybe you should let people know that then..?"
HIM:
"thank you for your thoughts,i have mailed people info, but i am sure people can make there own minds up. and i have just stated its an old vintage bike which means its not in production any more and older than 30yrs.but thank you once again for your input."
I see there's still no mention of it being made for a film in the new listing. What a conman. I bet he's a used car salesman
I think this one does it for most of us doesn't it? Just mention something like paint colours, Indian made forks or the price of things on ebay and everyone seems to get very excited indeed!!
hi,unfortunatly this one seem to have sold for £5200.00 ,hope the buyer knows his
arse from his elbow ,because when his missus sees it he had better, good shite
i have a few of these wisps, and my missus dont likee.
wishing all you a very merry christmas and the best new year you can have
cheers rick
