Is it my imagination or does this look like a overseas stamped frame no. on the headstock opposite side to original WM20 frame number. It is on my WM20 which went through 1953 workshops and has not been touched since?

Hummm...someone with more knowledge will hopefully weigh in on this, but I have to say that I live in a part of the world where people are always seeing Jesus on a tortilla or piece of toast

Looks a bit like a partial ID number for the frame steering head ...lost as the forming die or mold became worn from use.

THanks for reply, I dont think the headstock carried a casting number in that place....and I am reluctant to clean back paint, but maybe that is what I will have to do to see if it is stamped or purely casting mark defects...or maybe someone will recognise symbols??
