Off topic, but interesting! They are still out there

My brother went out for a walk along the Trent and Mersey canal the other day, he knew that the banks had burst the other week due to the heavy rains and flooding so the canal was dry whilst they were repairing it. Lo and behold there was this in there, it appears to have been there for a lot of years and despite it looking so bad it wasn't actually that bad, he took the horn off it and apparently it cleaned up ok. It is still there if anyone wants it as an ambitious restoration project it is near Dutton locks on the canal.

I'm sure there's a few stolen bikes in those canals. I think that one's past it. What bike is it anyway..?

I think it's a Royal Enfield Crusader. The Horn cleaned up ok, so I guess it's not as bad as it first looks, yes it would be an AMBITIOUS restoration project, but it'd be fun to try if I weren't so busy

well anything can be done, at least its got its full chain guard. still its nice to come across finds like this but some people will se it as scrap and others would love this.

Not found in a canal or dug up but found in a cellar been there many years, not much paint on it at all. Sorry its not WD it's 1935 + it's the first time i have posted a pic just signed up to photobucket so lets see what happens.
