Here's another shot of one at a training base in the Lake District..As Graham Walker (the Editor of the 'Motorcycle Magazine') is in the background it may have been taken on the same day, though it's not the same bike. My belief is that all these very lightweight machines were too light to stand the rigours of field use. Both the WB30 and the G3L required considerable modification (with a resulting increase in weight) to make them serviceable.
Knowing how light standard Triumphs are and having heard first hand from a DR how his fell to pieces on the roads in North Africa I doubt this one was any better...Ian
