hoi henk, its got my initals on it,and my birthday date,
but the 78 seems to spoil it a bit,so no use to me.
i did however splash out on a personalised plate from
our dvla people (must be mad) and now i will have to wait until i can afford a car to put it on.
in england you can only put a plate off an old car to a newer one,not a new plate on an older one,in case you make it look newer than it is.
cost me £400.00 but once in a lifetime chance to have
my full title on a plate R V 11OLT,
just need a black screw between the two one's and bobs
your uncle.
mr plod may not think so,but so what, only here once
cheers rick

It's a Scottish plate from between 1903 and 1932 and nearer to the latter I think...'Dodgy' on two counts..The incorrect layout of the digits for that type of number and the green background colour..Ian
Well gents its worse than that! it's a Dutch number, put on with UK numberplate stickers, to look like an English number, never had any problems with it, have been using it for over 10 years!
I've wondered about replicating my compulsorily reflective Belgian yellow plate with a black and white copy for Normandy in 2014. Would the French rozzers know ?
Last time I was there, between the UK and Dutch bikes, it stood out like a sore thumb. Mind you, my bike gear probably doesn't help either. Rob Miller told me that I looked like a gay Frenchman
