Look what I bought today

Nearly a complete bike, with a little imagination.

Not sure what do with it.

Anybody any idea in what period this saddle lug fits? It does have a WM20 frame number but the number itself is not legible I am afraid.

Very very nice Henk! Is the registration still usable?

It's probably not from a BSA.

Re: Look what I bought today

Hi Henk,

That is a challenging project. My 1940 M21 has this same combined petroltank-saddle, but no idea when they changed to the later separate type.

Good luck if you decide to restore it, Michiel

Re: Look what I bought today

Hi Michiel,

I really like these frames, to bad the frame number isn't very clear.

Henk.

Re: Look what I bought today

hoi henk, that plate is great for my initials, also for my birthday, but unfortunately the 78 gets in the way so no use to me.
i did however treat myself to a personalised plate last year RV IIOLT cost me £400.00 but a once in a lifetime chance to have your full monica on a plate.
all i need now is to save up for a car to put it on,
in england mr DVLA wont let you put a registration on an old vehicle that will make it seem younger than it is.
no good on a bike as it wont have the desired effect,
all i need is a black screw between the two ones and im away,mr plod prolly wont like it but thats the chance you take.
great project that, get it built up,one more saved.
cheers rick
