M20 rod operated front brake.

Is anyone making a good replica of the complete rod operated front brake assembly for the M20?
I am looking to get this set up.
Alternatively does anyone have a full set of engineering drawings of the various components?..or a complete assembly that can be loaned for drawing up? I'll pay any expenses involved...Ian

It seems to me that I have seen these drawings here long time ago?

Re: M20 rod operated front brake.

Hi Ian, I have one from JJ Cables, but I don't know if it's a good visual replica. It might simply be their own design.

But it is made (mostly) from your favourite material, stainless steel.

I suspect you already know about JJ's set-up. If not, I can't/won't dismantle, but I'll happily get you some snaps if it helps, and will measure where I can.

Re: M20 rod operated front brake.

Cornucopia makes very nice reproduction brake rods and not even that expensive and that is quite surprising for cornucopia.

Leon bought one last time in Stafford, you could ask him for photos.

I have an original brake rod here myself. These original rods are just suitable for the early shorter type front forks. For the later longer forks you have to make them 1/2" longer.
