As to my question, what thickness metrial is the oil tank/battery support plate made out of. I made one and after painting it I found my imperial to metric conversions were out. So I thought after my pratcise run I will try to get it corect this time.

Ray Schollick put a dimensioned drawing of the plate onto the tech section..Unfortunately though it doesn't show the material thickness. Once this is established perhaps you would add that information to the drawing Henk?...Ian

Hi Guys,

The plate is 1/8th inch thick (0.125 thousanths).
it is mild steel so about anything laying about will do.

It does have a 1/4 - 26 BSCY nut welded on.
