Cylinder liner.

Hello guys.

At this moment I'm rebuilding my 16H engine. Sadly the liner is in very bad condition and needs to be replaced. Where can I buy a cylinder liner for this engine?
Someone told me if I can't find one, I can use the cylinder liner from a Citroen Traction Avant. It should be the same size!

Regards,
Boudewijn.

Re: Cylinder liner.

I can imagine that France is full of Traction Avant drivers mumbling..."If only I can find four Norton liners...."

RGM lists spun cast liners for the ES2. It's certainly worth asking. If not, maybe Norvil but I hesitate to recommend them as I don't like dealing with them and they are consistently rude to customers.

Re: Cylinder liner.

Hi Boudewijn, Try a google search for Westwood Liners if you draw a blank from Norton suppliers...They stock hundreds (thousands?) and will also make them if they can't supply 'off the shelf'. I've used them a number of times....Ian

Re: Cylinder liner.

Hi Bou, have you tried Russell Motors in Clapham London.? If they do not have a liner they may have a barrel. Best wishes, John
