Internal coating for fuel tanks

Dear all,
I would like to know your experience/opinion regarding internal coating for closing small punctures in the fuel tank. I don't mean paint, but a 2 component epoxy and polyurethane basis mess, which can be found at Draganfly, for example. They of course swear for it, but on the other hand I heard of problems this is giving after a few years. What do you think/know?
Thank a lot in advance – Michael.

Re: Internal coating for fuel tanks

Michael, this has been the subject of several long threads on this forum. While you are waiting for fresh responses I suggest you review the prior treatments of the subject for a more complete picture. Perhaps Henk will have a suggestion as to how you can do this search in a time-effective manner.

Re: Internal coating for fuel tanks

I put some of the two part sealent in the tanks of a couple of my little Villiers engines beasties about 8 years ago and it has now started to break up, come away and block the holes up. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but in hindsight I should have got the leaks sealed properly by welding or soldering them.

When things are lost, I always ask my wife to have a look.
