Is there a specific and recommended way to split the cases on the M20? I suspect that some tenacious kind of stuff has been used to glue them together...

A blow lamp is always good for persuading casings apart. Is there a way you can make a puller from the crank to the casing and wind it apart. I have seen this done

I took my Matchie cases apart the other day. As I was scraping the black "glue" I noticed that some of had disolved in a drop of spilled coffee!

Maybe carefully soaking in hot water will help?
