Yes Paul. Some people call them MK1 and MK2. But they are really just early and late patterns. The one with the twin saddle tube is the early pattern and much more rare than the late pattern.

Years back, when I had a go at getting frame numbers and owners listed (stopped long since), the change over is around the R10.000: first 10.000 were twin down tube models, and the following 65.000 or there abouts are the regular single down tube model, twith the saddle tube inserted directly into the frame.
Highest number that I found, if I remember correctly, was in the Velorama bicycle museum in Nijmegen.
