Hi,

for my bike I need new main ball bearings for the crank.

If I am not wrong the dimension is 1"x2-1/4"x5/8".
My question is, which bearing can you recommend and where can I get them.

I think if I use "normal" bearings they are to thight because the old ones had a much higher bearing clearance (play). With modern ones I maybe run into problems with tensions in the hole crankcase during use. I have in mind that bearing class C3 are suitable ones for such kind of engine but not sure.

I also thougt about using sealed bearings for the outer ones to avoid oil leacking out of the crankcase but also not sure if this is OK. I also dont know if there are bearings available only sealed on one side?

Maybe someone of you have an advise for me.

Hi Phillip, they may not list it, but if you prepare the fax form and put in the part number, I think they will provide it. I obtained mine about four years ago.
