I have a clearhooters hf180 horn that works but is just very muffled. Tried every which way to adjust and still no change. I was thinking that the coil needed to be replaced. Looked on Taft the horn website but couldnt find a way to conta him. Anyone else have any ideas? Also tried to wake the horn up already by using a 12 v battery for a very short duration
Jeff I found I could alter the tone for best note by just turning the screw through that hole on the back. But of course the innards will have to be working correctly. You can contact Taff on lynn.isaac@tinyworld.co.uk
Try using 12 volts on it, sometimes the contacts inside get slightly oxidized, if you run it on 12v for short bursts it can clean up the contacts a bit better and it may work better on 6 volts afterwards
