Just a quicky folks, tonight on Channel 54 BBC HD Michael Portillo Great British Railway Journeys travelling along the south coast tonight covers Weymouths involvement in the D Day landings. Apparently in the preview they showed vehicles down at Weymouth possibly from veterans day, may be worth a look, Ian.

Happened to catch Mr.P and his guide book this evening. There were some good shots of American troops on the Seafront at Weymouth. They also showed a clip of colour footage in the same area which was interesting.

Strange but WW2 colour footage never looks as old as B&W!
