Can anyone share their method of installing the rear stand spring without damaging the finish...? This is not one you can just lever on without bodging up something...my normal method.

Any hints or suggestions?

Just looked at the page, and I do have a section of threaded rod, so looks like I'm in business...excellent information.

(one has to wonder, how did they do it at the factory...?)
