hi all i am looking for a black out lens for my royal enfield WD c/o the size of the light is 8 inch probibaly looking for a needle in a haystack to get hold of one

Michael, are you sure it's 8"? I've never known CO's to have them. I think they were all factory fitted with a standard 6 1/2" DU42 headlamp.

All the pictures of 8" lights with blackout masks have been black manilla paper circular mask with semi-circular cut out and the bottom portion of reflector painted black. A lot easier to do than finding a metal mask

Not all 8" lights have Manilla black out masks in the war time photos.

Hitchcocks does the whole headlight assembly with the blackout. You could see if they have just the blackout.
