I am now running the bike in,deep joy.It starts and runs well,no pops coughs or lags,but seems to be running rich. The plug metal(not electrode)is sooty as is the tail pipe.I have fitted a cone air filter and wonder if I should drop the needle a notch or fit a smaller main jet. It is currently in the second from top. I read up the carb tuning in the tech section , but it seemed a bit brutal as I'm still running in.

The outside of the plug can be sooty, as long as the electrode is a grey brown colour it should be alright.
