This German has taken this bike from Jean's boyfriend and put his own girlfriends name on the number plate.

No, no, no... You've got it wrong, both of you...

That's not the English Jean (girls name), but the French Jean (boys name). And the man on the bike is German, he's Lieutenant Grüber's brother. Grüber had an eye on René, the owner of the restaurant in Nouvion, and Grüber's brother has an eye on Jean, the hairdresser from the same village!

I'd suspect that the silencer has been rear-ended at some time...

Kostas, The originals of these photos are owned by the Museum of the Manx Regiment on the Isle of Man and the curator, Ivor Ramsden posted them on the HMVF forum.
